This time of year has been set aside,

To give thanks to God above.

For every blessing He gives to us,

Through Jesus Christ and His eternal love.

But do our hearts and lives,

Show our personal gratitude?

Are we truly thankful for every act,

Of forgiveness He has endured?

‍

Why not make this time of year,

A time of true thanks to Christ above.

And spend time on our knees in solitude,

Showing Him the depths of our love.

‍

So, give praise and honor to Jesus,

When you leave this place today.

You will feel a peace and contentment,

And remember to say, "thanks" when you pray.
